Hezekiah's Tunnel

went into the City of David today to walk through, or should i say wade through Hezekiah's Tunnel. for about 45minutes we walked through a tunnel, lit only by our flashlights, that was built around 700BC by King Hezekiah. the idea was that they would create a water supply that enemy nations would not be able to locate. we trooped through water that got as high as my knees at certain points.

Me troopin' it through Hezekiah's Tunnel (checking out something on the wall i guess)

towards the end of the tunnel, there was a marker marking the place where they discovered an inscription written about 2700 years ago during King Hezekiah's reign.

this picture is of a section of the Pool of Siloam...Jesus told a blind man to wash at this spot after putting clay on the man's eyes and the man was healed. it is located at the exit point of Hezekiah's Tunnel.
